Meet the Author
Concrete Jungle is Vanessa’s first novel. Though she grew up in Wisconsin, she has lived in several countries, including Japan, Sweden and France. While living across the US, as well as abroad, she experienced nightlife in cities all over the world, but none made more of an impression on her than the clubs and nightlife of New York City. The majority of characters and settings in her first novel are pulled from her actual experiences and the time she spent in the clubs of NYC. A lesson of love and loss, she dedicates her first novel to the friends she lost along the way.
Vanessa’s hobbies include reading, yoga and traveling to find inspiration for future stories. She lives with her two pugs, Khaleesi and Babu Frik, who approves all of her creative ideas. Vanessa’s favorite things include her family and friends, coffee, and the beach. Her favorite travel destinations include the Bahamas, France, and the UK. Vanessa’s favorite authors include Sarah Pinborough, Elin Hilderbrand, and J.K. Rowling.
Vanessa now lives in Florida She works as a model as well as working on her second book, a sequel to her first novel.
